Overview:
Thomson Reuters has an opening for Sales Planner in the Chicago sales office. The Sales Planner will help advance the overall goals of the Advertising Sales Department by assisting with pre-sales activity, campaign stewardship and new revenue generation.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales:
Provide sales support to the Midwest sales team
Analyze research data and develop consumer insights for customers
Create multi-media sales presentations and provide promotional materials for sales presentations
Internal liaison to the marketing, finance and operations teams
Assist with creation of customer proposals
Campaign Stewardship:
Review agency IO's and contract terms in order to get management signature/approval
Communicate and secure inventory for new programs with ad operations group
Process insertion orders and revisions
Communicate with Marketing and Design teams regarding program elements requiring product/design development
Work with ad operations to ensure delivery of campaigns
Work with ad operations and sales executives to optimize media campaigns
Post Sales:
Reconcile billing issues with clients and the Accounting team
Maintain third-party reports on all campaigns to ensure accurate billing for customers
Develop summary reports that reflect performance of the campaign with screenshots and final campaign tracking reports

Qualifications
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Previous experience in online advertising required (3 years preferred)
Previous experience in a Sales Planner or Coordinator role is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent time management skills
Self-starter; capable of delivering on goals with minimal supervision
Bachelor's Degree
