Senior Principal Software Engineer

Position Description

Job Summary:

Design and develop WMS’ next generation system. Apply your technical skills and abilities to an exciting project but also apply your creativity and innovation skills. Work on cutting edge technologies and have the opportunity to work with other like minded creative individuals.

Essential Job Functions:
* Investigate and evaluates technology, product and architectural alternatives and provides written evaluations and recommendations.
* Design, develop and debug subsystems or features per specifications.
* Achieve goals with minimal supervision and regularly report accurate status of project development

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyze and develop requirements to direct the design of software components utilizing standard object-oriented techniques

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Education
* Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Required Experience:
* Minimum 8 years experience in Java or C++ in windows or linux environment
* Minimum 8 years experience in Object Oriented & design patterns
* Minimum 8 years experience in full software lifecycle development (design, code, review, test)
* Strong communication & presentation skills

Preferred Experience:
* Experience with Windows Embedded a plus
* Experience with C# a plus
* Experience with Flash, Actionscript and/or Flex is a plus
* Experience with Unity a plus
* Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Ruby a plus
* Experience with web servers like Tomcat, JBoss, BEA WebLogic
* Prior Industry experience in casual or multiplayer gaming is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Skill in developing distributed applications
* Skill in multi-threading / multi-tasking applications
* Knowledge of network programming
* Ability to use relational databases
* Knowledge of SOA
* Knowledge of Agile development
